Amy Winehouse Is Really Good

It's too bad that Amy Winehouse is such a hopeless drunk, drug addict, because her music is really amazing. If you've only heard "Rehab," that's too bad, because that it by far her worst song. The rest of the songs on her second album Back To Black are more like Motown, but often with the modern beats and horns sound that producer Mark Ronson is known for. Just listen to "He Can Only Hold Her," and if you don't like that song, you don't appreciate good music. Her first album Frank is a little bit different, it's more jazz and contemporary pop. It's not quite as good, but it's definitely still worth listening to. So hopefully she sorts herself out so she can keep making music, because she's got a lot to offer to the world of music. Oh, and people who say we shouldn't buy her music, because it's supporting her drug habit are stupid. Unless she can get away from doing drugs, she's going to do them whether she's making money or not. So buy not buying her records, you're only hurting an already crippled music industry and forcing her to resort to other, more harmful means to get drugs. What you should do is pray that she stops doing drugs. And oh yeah, it's not like the majority of other music performers don't do drugs as well, she's just no good at keeping it secret.



I've been writing songs this month for FAWM. I've got 15 so far. They tell the story of some people in the fictional Independence County. I wish I was a better songwriter. Hopefully keeping writing will make me better. Try writing songs yourself, it's fun.
